田中 達也 / Tatsuya Tanaka is a miniature artist and photographer. Born in Kumamoto Prefecture, Japan, in 1981, in 2011 he began creating "MINIATURE CALENDAR"a photographic project in which she portrays everyday scenes in miniature form with alternative objects that recreate various elements, such as trees with broccoli or masks as waves on a beach. Since then she has been daily creating and uploading photographs and videos on various networks, such as Instagram. But it is on his website where you can see the photographs in a calendar where he is adding a new one every day.
Broccoli and parsley can sometimes look like a forest of trees, and tree leaves floating on the surface of the water can sometimes look like little boats. Everyday events seen from a miniature perspective can bring us many amusing thoughts.

His work is meticulous, very Japanese, and fun. You get the smile on your face, and the amazement, to discover how a series of alienated combs can give us the feeling of contemplating a sunset on a beach:

A lettuce can remind us of a rural landscape:

A pencil sharpener can be a toilet:

A mask is a swimming pool:

Or some ice cream balls, a complicated golf course:

His exhibition, "MINIATURE LIFE Exhibition: The World of Similarities by Tatsuya Tanaka", which is exhibited both nationally and internationally, carries more than 1,000,000 visitors (until November 2019).
Tatsuya Tanaka has also created works for third parties, such as the title sequence for the NHK television series, Hiyokkoin 2017, and the film used for opening of Nihonbashi Takashimaya S.C. department store.
The publications, in addition to his calendars, where you can find his photographs are "MINIATURE LIFE", "MINIATURE LIFE 2", "Small Wonders", y "MINIATURE TRIP IN JAPAN". Now available the calendar for 2021 of the author.
